Smile Fearless this Summer With Custom at Home Teeth Whitening + Giveaway!

Suns Out Smiles Out!

I don’t know about you but during the summer I end up taking tons of pictures with friends. From traveling to just casually hanging out by the pool. We are constantly taking selfies. One thing I always notice is how yellow my teeth always look. EWWW! I brush my teeth two to three times a day but that’s not enough because I’m a HUGE coffee fanatic.

I always knew that professional teeth whitening was an option but that always came with a large price tag. Not one treatment will do it, and upkeep can get pretty pricey for a college student like myself. White strips are another option but they never give me the results I want and always tend to move around! They also leave my teeth in so much pain and I feel like I can’t eat for two days because they get so sensitive.

I was contacted by Smile Brilliant and I thought why not give it a shot. I always like to try new things. And I’m in need of some pearly whites. What made them stand out to me was they send you a kit with trays so you’re able to make custom  impressions, send them back and in less than a week you receive your trays and are ready for a brighter smile! The whole process is so easy and professional. They also offer different packages for different needs.

This New Tanning Mist Is A Complete Game Changer

Welcome to the hottest days of the year. Where shorts, tanks and tanning are a must. If you’re like me and don’t like baking and aging in the sun then self tanning is probs your go to and I think I have found the best one yet.

Finally someone created a product that is easy to use! Thank you Jules for creating Isle of Paradise. He’s been in the industry for over ten years and travels all around the world making sure celebs and models have the best looking tan. He knows his shit when it comes to this.

Isle Of Paradise Medium Self Tanning Water $28

Isle of Paradise is now available in Sephora doors. This self tanner is a game changer. What makes it so unique is the fact that it is all natural, organic, vegan, gluten free and does not test on animals. Yes, welcome to 2018. It is also color correcting. Wait what? Yes. Comes in a peach, green, and violet undertone. If you’re looking for something subtle the peach would be the perfect fit, its a light tint with a brightening effect. The green which is the one I have is the medium color, where it also conceals any redness on the skin. Lastly, the violet which gives you a much deeper tan but also helps hide any dark spot and gives your skin a beautiful, bronzy finish. The products also contain avocado oil, coconut oil and chia seeds to help moisturize the skin and add beneficial antioxidants for the best looking skin. Isle of paradise comes in a few different forms. Drops, mousse, and a water mist. Different types for different people.

The day I picked up the medium self tanning water  I couldn’t sleep so I decided to mist my face and arms without exfoliating and doing my whole usual prepping routine. I was just bored and carless. My first reaction was taken away by the fresh scent and how evenly the mist was dispersed. The next morning I woke up and was very impressed. My skin looked amazing! Especially my face. As some of you may know I am very acne prone with lots of scars and pigmentation, most of it was covered and my skin tone was very even. It actually boosted my confidence a little because I felt like I could get away with a bit of mascara and go. The tanner was completely easy to use, no spots and streaks and all I did was stand there and give myself a few mists on un prepped skin. I did end up prepping my legs because I wanted to see if it would go on differently. I exfoliated, shaved and moisturized my knees and ankles. Misted my legs and waited five hours to see the development. I thought I would just do one leg to show the before and after result.

This product is honestly perfect for someone who doesn’t have much time to self tan or can never achieve a perfect streak free tan.

Everyday Makeup Routine With Acne

Im a girl with acne and acne scars. I hate it but what can you do really? Nothing much just try your best to treat it with the right products and eat a clean healthy diet. Well, and covering it up with makeup. Everyday I wish for soft, smooth, clear skin. It’s a wish that will take a while to come true. It’s my only wish really. Acne shouldn’t make you feel less of a person. I have had acne ever since I was ten years old. Yes, I did get bullied in middle school and yes I took it kinda harsh. Who wouldn’t, theres tons of red dots on your face. The face is the first thing a person looks at.

Overtime I learned how to deal with it. Not everyone is perfect. Everyone has a flaw. So don’t feel like you have to hide yourself from the world just because you have something on your face. EMBRACE THAT SHIT. Heck use makeup like I do. Yeah, it covers up those spots but I honestly feel more confident than ever. Its also a fun thing to do. You’re like Picasso painting on your face.  Every morning I wakeup, shower and get started on my makeup. I have the same routine every morning. This is what it looks like…

First I grab my Kiehls Powerful Wrinkle Reducing Eye Cream. I don’t have wrinkles, I’m only 18 and am not planning on getting any anytime soon. Thats why I’m starting right now. The younger you start taking care of your skin the more you’ll thank yourself when you’re older. My under eyes really lack moisture so by using this cream it helps a ton. Plus moisturized under eyes makes you look a lot more plump, refreshed and healthy.

Step 1

Second I apply a dime size amount of BECCA Ever Matte Poreless Priming Perfector to my entire face and make sure its blended out evenly. I leave the house at around 10 and don’t come home until 8 so I really need my foundation to stick to my face and not vanish. BECCA really does the job especially since my face is oily so its easier for my makeup to slip off.

Using my new favorite drugstore foundation by LOREAL called Infallible, I apply a generous amount on the back of my hand to help the foundation warm up so I get a smoother application. Using my Real Techniques Sponge I put a thin layer of foundation on and pretend that it’s my “primer”. Just as if you were painting your wall, you start with a layer, let it dry and paint over it again. Well, thats what I do with my foundation, giving time to dry in between coats. I try to make sure that all of my scars are covered while not making myself look to cakey.

Step 2

To brighten up my eyes I take NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer and apply the lightest shade to my under eyes and blend it in using my Real Techniques sponge. This concealer is a little pricy but let me tell you. This bad boy stays in place and does not crease! Using a lighter shade under your eyes really makes your eyes pop and prevents your face from looking one toned and dull.

After all that is finished I of course need to lock all that good stuff in. I use my ALL TIME FAVORITE Translucent Loose Setting Powder by Laura Mercier to set my makeup and give me a little bit more of that flawless look. The best thing to use to apply is the Velour Powder Puff. In my opinion it really, really sets your makeup and makes it look ten times better. This powder really does its job and keeps my makeup looking fresh throughout the day.

Highlighter is so popular right now and to be honest I’ve been kinda digging it. I don’t go crazy with it and highlight my whole entire face. I use a stifle brush by mac and take my current favorite highlighter by BECCA in Opal and stifle a light amount on my face. I focus on the cheek bones to give me that “vava voom” look when the sun hits my face. I then add a little amount down the bridge of my nose and on my brow bone. By doing this I feel like it really highlights your face and draws people straight to your eyes. So make sure your eye makeup is looking bomb.

Going onto the eyes. I usually don’t fill in my brows but if I’m feeling browsy I take MAC eye pencil and fill in just a tad bit to give me some fullness in my brows. Another trick I do to make me look a little more awake is making a illusion that my eyes are bigger. How do you do that? Taking your liquid eyeliner, I use Stila Stay All Day Liner draw a thin line on your top lash line starting from the outer corner working your way into your inner corner while making the line thinner as you go. This will also give you the appearance of having fuller lashes. Speaking of lashes you can’t forget about that mascara. My new true love goes out to LOREAL Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara. This is a magic stick for my lashes I tell you. It separates my lashes and gives me so much volume. I love to layer my mascara to make them appear fuller but sometimes it can look too clumpy with other mascaras. But this isn’t the case with little miss Carbon Black. Lashes just look stunning.
