Smile Fearless this Summer With Custom at Home Teeth Whitening + Giveaway!

Suns Out Smiles Out!

I don’t know about you but during the summer I end up taking tons of pictures with friends. From traveling to just casually hanging out by the pool. We are constantly taking selfies. One thing I always notice is how yellow my teeth always look. EWWW! I brush my teeth two to three times a day but that’s not enough because I’m a HUGE coffee fanatic.

I always knew that professional teeth whitening was an option but that always came with a large price tag. Not one treatment will do it, and upkeep can get pretty pricey for a college student like myself. White strips are another option but they never give me the results I want and always tend to move around! They also leave my teeth in so much pain and I feel like I can’t eat for two days because they get so sensitive.

I was contacted by Smile Brilliant and I thought why not give it a shot. I always like to try new things. And I’m in need of some pearly whites. What made them stand out to me was they send you a kit with trays so you’re able to make custom  impressions, send them back and in less than a week you receive your trays and are ready for a brighter smile! The whole process is so easy and professional. They also offer different packages for different needs.

This New Tanning Mist Is A Complete Game Changer

Welcome to the hottest days of the year. Where shorts, tanks and tanning are a must. If you’re like me and don’t like baking and aging in the sun then self tanning is probs your go to and I think I have found the best one yet.

Finally someone created a product that is easy to use! Thank you Jules for creating Isle of Paradise. He’s been in the industry for over ten years and travels all around the world making sure celebs and models have the best looking tan. He knows his shit when it comes to this.

Isle Of Paradise Medium Self Tanning Water $28

Isle of Paradise is now available in Sephora doors. This self tanner is a game changer. What makes it so unique is the fact that it is all natural, organic, vegan, gluten free and does not test on animals. Yes, welcome to 2018. It is also color correcting. Wait what? Yes. Comes in a peach, green, and violet undertone. If you’re looking for something subtle the peach would be the perfect fit, its a light tint with a brightening effect. The green which is the one I have is the medium color, where it also conceals any redness on the skin. Lastly, the violet which gives you a much deeper tan but also helps hide any dark spot and gives your skin a beautiful, bronzy finish. The products also contain avocado oil, coconut oil and chia seeds to help moisturize the skin and add beneficial antioxidants for the best looking skin. Isle of paradise comes in a few different forms. Drops, mousse, and a water mist. Different types for different people.

The day I picked up the medium self tanning water  I couldn’t sleep so I decided to mist my face and arms without exfoliating and doing my whole usual prepping routine. I was just bored and carless. My first reaction was taken away by the fresh scent and how evenly the mist was dispersed. The next morning I woke up and was very impressed. My skin looked amazing! Especially my face. As some of you may know I am very acne prone with lots of scars and pigmentation, most of it was covered and my skin tone was very even. It actually boosted my confidence a little because I felt like I could get away with a bit of mascara and go. The tanner was completely easy to use, no spots and streaks and all I did was stand there and give myself a few mists on un prepped skin. I did end up prepping my legs because I wanted to see if it would go on differently. I exfoliated, shaved and moisturized my knees and ankles. Misted my legs and waited five hours to see the development. I thought I would just do one leg to show the before and after result.

This product is honestly perfect for someone who doesn’t have much time to self tan or can never achieve a perfect streak free tan.

Designer On a Budget

Agh designer clothes, handbags and accessories. If you love designer everything then I pronounce you a label whore. Join the club, its a good one to be in. The thing I love about buying designer is that its usually a quality piece, lasts forever and you could always re sell it if you’re over it. Also designers tend to make really good staple and classic pieces that never go out of style. It does tend to gets pricey and I don’t know about you but I always love to save some extra money. I recently went back to school and money has been a little tight especially because I only work two days a week, there for ya girl has a major budget. A budget? And you still expect to buy designer? Hello yes I’ve been doing it and I’ve figured out the formula for myself that I would like to share with you all. And remember quality over quantity.

Let’s start at my favorite place Nordstrom Rack! Im sure you have all heard of it. Everything that doesn’t sell at their full line store ( Nordstrom ) gets sent down to the rack. LADIES if you haven’t been then you need to go. Sure you have to dig a little, but it’s so worth it. I’ve found so many things there. My greatest find was a pair of YSL pumps for $100 bucks that originally cost $1,200, talk about SAVINGS. Ummmmm what…… YES this is why you need to get your butt up and check it out. Heres the thing the best time to shop is when they are offering an extra 20% off clearance. This usually happens every three months. That’s when you could score some major deals if you’re lucky. If you live in the bay area the best rack to go to is 9th street in San Francisco and the rack on Market. They always have tons of designers at awesome prices. They also price match, so if you find the exact same item online still in stock then you could show one of the cashier and they will get approval from management. If you can’t make it to the store, theres no need to worry. Grab your phone, download the app, and enjoy!

My second favorite place to shop is Saks and SaksOff5th. Both have amazing deals, they are usually a little more higher end than the rack so it tends to be a little more pricier than what I’m looking for. If you’re fast you can find pieces up to 90% off. Yes I love me some inexpensive designer. If you sign up for their newsletter then you will start receiving coupon codes which most of the time you could use on clearance item’s which I kid you not you could score and get jeans for under $50. I will admit, I like shopping at Saks full line store a lot better just because the return policy is a lot more lenient. What I mean by that is if you purchase sale or clearance online it’s not final sale. At Saks off 5th it’s a little risky, because if you’re buying at clearance price and you’re not to sure about your size, unfortunately most of the time it’s final sale. Both sites offer higher end designer pieces, so don’t get me wrong I still love to shop them both.

Finally there are a few more websites that I would recommend thanks if you’re open to buying second hand. Just because it’s second hand doesn’t mean it’s been used. Im always on Tradsey and The Real Real looking up what kind of deals they have got going on. Goodness people sell pieces they haven’t even touched for half the price. It’s crazy! The legit reason I love both of these site is because if you’re looking for something specific or even vintage I bet you’ll find it there. They have the most beautiful pieces I have ever seen. Usually everything is authenticated so if you’re worried about getting a fake please don’t be. They usually offer coupon codes like $25 off or 20% off if you create an account which is such a bonus when on a budget.

Those are a few of my favorite stores.I hope I opened up a few doors for you and helped you save a few bucks. If interested comment below a category like shoes or bags and I could give you a list of my favorite stores to search for them. Like always if you have any other questions please comment and I’ll get back to you

My 2018 Goals

WELCOME 2018! Agh I hope everyone had an awesome New Years! I am so excited for this year. Why? Maybe because 8 is one of my favorite numbers. I’ve been waiting for the new year, for a fresh start. I can’t tell you how hard 2017 was for me. So much was going on, its like someone put a spell on me and I couldn’t live a happy 2017. EVERYTHING WAS GOING WRONG. You know what tho. That year is over, forgotten and deleted.

Let’s talk more about 2018. Like everyone thats basic, I too have a few goals that I would like to share. If its written and put out to the public I think ill be more dedicated to sticking to it.

I think this is the biggest goal. Wellness is health, health is survival. I’ve been talking about changing my everyday lifestyle for a while. I always tell my family members that Im going vegan as of today and then couple days later I go get in n out. It’s not a overnight thing. You slowly have to change your eating habits and the way you chose your food. I have slowly been training my taste buds to like certain foods so I don’t crave the bad ones. It’s hard but I want 2018 to be the year where I fully develop a mind that only thinks health. I would love to go vegan 100% but cheese just really gets me.

Water is also a big issue for me. I am the worst when it comes to drinking it. There are some days I go without taking a sip, instead I drink coffee or juice which is a BIG NO NO. Couple days ago I ordered a CamelBak water bottle which holds 1L so I could take to school and not worry about constantly re filling it. I also made sure to get a bottle that had a built in straw so I don’t feel bored drinking the water. I’ve had it for four days now and it’s been the best purchase yet. I feel so hydrated and also now that I’m drinking more water I feel less hungry which is something I am super excited about

I also want to start including workouts into my everyday lifestyle. It’s been a goal of mine for a while. I have no excuse not to do it it’s just that I am incredibly lazy. I have a gym membership that I haven’t used in about three months now and memberships are so pricy let me tell you. I am currently creating a schedule where I include going to the gym at least four times a week and hopefully working my way up. I have a break in between my classes thats about two hours long and my gym is literally right across the street and has showers so I really have no excuse not to go.

Creating a Brand

This has been a dream of mine since I was nine years old. I used to make jewelry and create things out of polymer clay. When I was younger I used to make youtube videos during summer I wouldn’t sleep, my mom would wakeup in the morning and literally force me to go. I wouldn’t I was addicted to showing the world what I have made. The youtube community back then was amazing I had so much feedback and the subscribers grew like crazy. Just over summer I had a little over 1,000 subscribers. I think thats a lot for a nine year old to accomplish. I was proud. I then started selling my pieces at craft fairs and local shows that were popping up around my community. As I grew older high school came around and thats where everything went downhill. I made new friends, started partying and gave up on what I love.

I have recently got back into it and slowly started making a few things here and there for myself. I’m just trying to figure out my style at the moment so I could then share with you all. My goal is to build a brand. Some of you may have seen my Instagram and Etsy page already, Nastik.Co where I currently have a few jewelry pieces that are made by me and a few phone cases. I definitely want to grow my listenings in the next year and slowly go into fine jewelry.

I want to also grow Casual Lattes. It’s been a goal for a while as well but like I said laziness took me and I just didn’t get out until now. I promise you all in the future to come you will be seeing a lot more fun posts. My main focus to this blog is just an everyday girl living her life in a world where she likes to be casual and simple. I don’t want to specifically dedicate this blog to fashion. I want it to be real where you sit down with your latte relax and enjoy a quick read that hopefully relates to your life. Fashion, makeup, wellness, school, and D.I.Y ‘ s will be my target. I want it to be real where you sit down with your latte relax and enjoy a quick read that hopefully relates to your life. I hope you all get excited. I just ordered a white board to hang up in my room so I could write down all my ideas. I want to stay inspired everyday.

Productive and Stress Free

My last goal for 2018 is pretty important to me and thats to be stress free and more productive. There is no point to stress. If something tragic happens don’t stress over it. No matter how big or small. The more you stress the more you’re ruining yourself there is no benefit to it. 2017 has taught me to get over things and not stress about them because you’re hurting yourself more. You’ll never get out of depression mode. If you’re stressing about something that could be fixed get up off your ass and make a change. That’s exactly how I want to live for now on. The more productive you are the less stressed you are. ” Too Busy To Stress ” those are the exact words I want to tell people.

Well those are my 2018 goals. Leave me a comment down below telling me what your 2018 goal are. I would love for you all to share. Good Luck to everyone and may 2018 be the best year ever!

Casual Weekend Outfits

The weekend is everyones favorite two words!

The weekend is for shopping and relaxing in something casual and comfy. At least thats how I see it. Im all about casual with a pop of something. Whether its a fun handbag, jacket or shoes there always needs to be something fun going on to spice up the look a little.

Outfit #1 Lunch / Dinner

I was going out to dinner wearing my current favorite jeans by L’Agence. They are high wasted and literally mold to your body covering a pooch if you have one and the pooch after dinner if ya know what I mean. They don’t stretch out in the knee which I love, and they def keep their shape. Peep the zippers on the bottom, they’re my favorite part! They give the look a little edge and spunk which hellllooooo yes please I need that for a effortless look. The light wash is also so perfect for spring and summer.

The top that I’m wearing got its first wear this weekend. I originally bought it for my trip to Istanbul but I just couldn’t wait to wear it so I thought Id take it for a quick spin. Beach Lunch Lounge is my favorite place to get things for vacation. Its so freaking adorbs on. I love off the shoulder tops they’re just so flattering and show off that collar bone which is my favorite part of my body. I just think its so sexy!

Who doesn’t love a look a like for the cheep. I love getting inspo bags. The best place to get them is ZARA which is where this little guy is from. It’s hard to keep up with current bag trends and especially if they’re over 1k! Yeah take me to ZARA id like to save some moola. Speaking of moola this bag was actually on sale for $20! What a freaking deal! This bag is so easy to take to dinner because of its cross body that comes useful for when your hands are too busy holding those left overs.

So I’ve been eying these shoes ever since working at Nordstrom. I decided to pop into rack because my dad needed a dress shirt for a dinner……Well I think he made the wrong decision of taking me there because I ended up getting three pairs of  shoes including these bad boys by Vince Camuto. They’re so freaking comfy and perfect for when it’s hot out because of the mesh design on top. Plus your feet wont get stinky.

Outfit #2 Shopping / Errands

Can we guess where my top is from? Target! I love me some Target. You go in for one thing come out with ten. I give them props for whatever marketing technique they’re using. This button up is light weight and WRINKLE PROOF! Perfect for traveling because Anastasia aint got no time for steaming.

I do want to mention that this outfit is so perfect for shopping and even traveling just because its so comfy and lightweight to wear.

I love these pants so much that I wanted them in black for work. I searched online for them and found them in black on Rainbow. Guess what they’re on their way to my doorstep. #YAAAAS They do come in a ton of colors if black and grey don’t interest you much.

My baby! I’ve been giving this bag so much love recently. I must say its quit heavy but who cares it’s so pretty. This Alexander Wang Diego bag def elevates your outfit it adds some edge to your outfit which I seem to like a lot. I will say finding things in this bag is so difficult because of its narrow and dark pockets. I do suggest putting your things in a little makeup bag and then tossing it in.

Remember that rack trip I told you about? Yeah this is that other pair by Abound. The reason I got these shoes is because how light they were. I don’t know if I mentioned but I’ll say it again because Im so excited. I’m going to Istanbul so I need something light and airy because I was told that it’s going to be super hot out there and if you know me I HATE hot weather. I mean who likes clothes sticking to their body.

January Favorites 2017

1. Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water  | 2. MAC Fix + | 3. Buxom Full On Lip Polish |

4. LOreal Voluminous Mascara | 5. Topshop Killer Studded Chelsea Boot

I’ve recently been trying to purchase new products to try and am loving it. In January I was experimenting with makeup a little. Im not a heavy makeup fanatic because lets be real I don’t know how to blend eyeshadow very well. I can get away with light shadows and all that but once you put color and a black on them lids forget it. I guess that just means I need to start practicing more.

 Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water

I wear foundation everyday unless I am hanging out at home. Obviously at the end of the day you need to take your makeup off in order to stay away from those nasty zits. Face wash alone just doesn’t do it. I like to double cleanse my face, sounds awful and drying but thats what your toner and moisturizer are for. I take a makeup or baby wipe and pour the liquid on and go to town cleansing my face starting from my forehead working my way down to my neck. I make sure that wipe has no white spots and that every inch of it is filled so I know my face is makeup free. After that I end it by washing my face and going on with my skincare routine.

   MAC Fix +

This has been my EVERYTHING I literally LOVE this product. It’s been out on the market forever but I never grabbed it to try. One day I decided to grab it on my way home from work. Lets just say best decision of ma life! I wear a crap ton of foundation, well I’d like to say so, other people probably think I wear a light bb. I spray this on my Beauty blender before applying my makeup and after all my makeup is done. I use powder on my face at the end. But to finish it off I spray it on my face and just feel like it completely makes my powder melt into my skin making me have a flawless finish.

Buxom Full On Lip Polish

I have always had small lips. The whole trend right now is to have full lips. Let’s be real here not everyone can afford lip injections. You can line your lips but that takes some time. I like fast and easy. I popped into Sephora to pickup a lip plumper. I was recommended to try Buxom by one of the sale associates. I gave in and decided to pick a neutral color. OMG I put it on my lippies and they were tingling and it was so satisfying. It make your lips appear full and the gloss totally helps make them look much more voluminous. The color payoff is great pigment in this product is reasonable. It does tend to come of after about 25 minutes but im okay with that.

LOreal Voluminous Mascara

Luxury mascaras were my thing in high school. I had no bills nothing to really pay for. As soon as life hit me I got a job bought a car and school came around…….my makeup game downgraded because that wasn’t as important as the other things. Luckily I found a awesome mascara that I’ve now been using for about a year and a half now. I like to use the darkest color and pack it on without having my lashes look clumpy and this is just what this mascara does. They do have a water proof version which is awesome for the beach days that will be coming up. This mascara does not flake which is an A+++++. Even the high end mascaras tend to flake. If I had a million dollars and had the option to choose Chanel or Loreal mascara I would probably go for Loreal. That’s how serious I am….. BTW don’t get me wrong i’m a complete obsessor over Chanel.

 Topshop Killer Studded Chelsea Boot

Last but not least these Top Shop boots have been my everything. I love to wear a fun piece. My favorite staple piece to wear are shoes and bags. Let me tell you Top shop always kills it with their shoe designs. Their sizes usually run pretty true to size which is awesome especially if you’re ordering online. They’re very inexpensive but looks like you paid a couple hundred bucks. I usually wear wear them with skinnies and a simple white v-neck for a casual look. If Im feeling a little dressy Ill throw on a button up, stick it in, and put on a cute belt with a little hat.

Let me know what your January Favs were 🙂

Fall 2016 Luxury Essentials

I just can’t. Fall is my favorite season, pretty sure I said this over a thousand times. It’s the time I give retail businesses most of my money. I mean I always do but they really make money some profit off of me during this time of the year. After watching tons of Instagram and Snapchat posts of NYFW I got a little jealous wishing I was attending but you know what I got over it. I was a little inspired to create a post about pieces I feel would be absolutely perfect this season. This is for more of the casual gals ( like most of my stuff ). This one is the essential things with a little bit of spice you should have in your closet. We aren’t talking riding boots and leggings, the basic stuff. We are talking about giving your wardrobe a little bit more oomph and making you look ready to go with just a few simple pieces.

  1. Pierre Balmain: Double Breasted Twill Coat $1,575

Oh my goodness. This coat is just incredible. Lets be real here you need to invest in coats its what keeps you warm, and has you looking marvelous while hiding your cute little outfit underneath. Its the perfect coat to go over a simple white tee and jeans. If you’re a girl boss, throw it onto your cream or white silk blouse with a black tailored tapered pant and a sexy pair of stilettos and you’re work ready. It’s also a awesome transition piece from fall to spring if you’re looking for a two in one.

2. Christopher Kane : Scalloped Metallic Leather Loafers $595

2christopher-kane-scalloped-metalic-leather-loafers-595Loafers are defienently big a hit this season. They’re on the runway in the streets even in professional office buildings. They are especially comfortable and luckily stylish. You really cant go wrong with an Italian made shoe, can you?. This gorgeous pointed toe will help slenderize your legs a and make you look super sharp. This style is a game changer. I mean it really makes any outfit look great. From Jeans to slack to even skirts and dresses this shoe will roll in those compliments. The metallic finish gives it that edge white the scallop detail keeps it looking very girly and feminine.

3. Gianvito Rossi: Suede pumps $675

These pumps are completely to die for. The suede is so beautiful. Once you step into the office eyes are completely……on your feet. Sorry to break it to you but thats the truth. The color is so classic so timeless soooooo agh perfect for any season and occasion. Pair it with a grey, or white pant. Don’t work? No worries toss on a pair of jeans for a more effortless look. A black blazer white tee and a dark denim closes the deal for myself.

4. Janessa Leone: Jemma Wool Fedora $205

janessa-leone-jemma-wool-fedora-205For those bad hair days you need a fedora in your life to cover up those frizzies. It’s also a easy way to hide your ” I haven’t washed my hair in a few days” secret. Weirdly enough I actually like to wear fedoras when it rains because it helps protect my hair from getting wet and ruined if I curled it. Mind you i’m the worst when it comes to keeping a umbrella in my car.

5. Saint Laurent: Monogram Dylan Small Suede Leather Bag $1,45

saint-laurent-monograme-dylan-small-suede-leather-shoulder-bag-1450Ok so goal bag. I will have this bag sooner or later. I think this is on the top of my list for “bags I want”. Suede on a YSL OMG! How much better can it get! It’s perfect for the holidays. Wow your office friends when you walk into the office with a simple black dress and this gold detailed bag with the soft suede. *Warning* people will ask to touch it. It defiantly makes your outfit pop and makes you appear A LOT more dressed up.

6. Rag & Bone: Kingsley Shirt $295

Ok, everyone needs this button up. You can do so much! Toss a sweater over it, and it looks like a completely different outfit. Even better, if you’re going for a sexier look put on a pair of leather shorts and slip on some thigh high black boots. If you live in a colder climate trade in those shorts for a pair of leather pants to keep yourself a little warmer.

7. VISA A VIS: Raw Edge Poplin Plaid Shirt $295

People say if you wear plaid during the fall season you’re considered a basic b*tch. Well guess thats me. I wear so much plaid but for some reason I don’t own a raw edge one. I feel like I really need one in my life. I love the color of this one. It literally looks like you took your boyfriends shirt shrunk it to fit your body and walked out looking so Fallesc….and I guess basic. I just love it so much. Just imagine ripped light washed boyfriend jeans and this flannel tucked a little in the front. OM double G

8. GRLFRND: Helena Crop Jean $228

Ladies this is the thing right now. Everyone and I mean EVERYONE is talking about this jean trend. Its so effortless. Strap yourself up in a simple strapy heel and you are looking good my lady. Now, these jeans look good with anything. A tucked in button up or even a oversized button up for that extra edgy effortless look. Even throw on a band tee and you’re rock and roll ready!

Golden Gate is Screaming for Fall

Flannel: TJMax | Jeans: Hudson | Booties:Franco Sarto| Purse:Gucci Emily

Well, Starbucks came out with their PSL….if you’re not basic and don’t know what that stands for, its a Pumpkin Spice Latte. Knowing me the first day they were featuring it I snagged one for myself. It was the most delicious thing ever! First thing that hit me was the warm cinnamon whip cream and then the creamy pumpkin, oh so good. The only thing, isnt it still Summer! If you’re like me and hate summer raise your hand! I dislike the hot weather and always feeling like im going to suffocate in my own body. Id rather be cuddled up with a blanket and some sort of a warm drink in my hand. With the window open of course, I love cold breezes. Its so refreshing and the most satisfying feeling.

The other day I went out to the city, Im there atleast twice a week. The shopping is awesome, but have you checked out Golden Gate Park? It used to be a monthly trip for myself and my family when I lived near by. A group of family and friends would get together and bbq on the weekends while us kids run around and play. Thats when times were easier and life was just simple. Don’t you miss those days. I sure do.

I decided to bust out my flannels and booties since Golden Gate is super green and woodsy. Is that even a word? Who cares, Ill use it. I think I made a good choice when picking my outfit. The atmosphere was so perfect. I felt like such a white girl when strolling around in my booties which by the way are so comfy and go with almost everything. I do wish I took a little puffer vest with me because it was a little chili. The breeze was picking up a little to the point where I had goose bumps. My flannel didn’t keep me to warm it was pretty thin, but looked really cute so Im not really complaining. That morning I also picked up my first Gucci bag with my mom as an early birthday gift for myself. I can’t explain how in love I am with this bag. Its so perfect for work, shopping, and just hanging out. This bag goes with EVERYTHING and so far im getting lots of compliments.

Everyday Makeup Routine With Acne

Im a girl with acne and acne scars. I hate it but what can you do really? Nothing much just try your best to treat it with the right products and eat a clean healthy diet. Well, and covering it up with makeup. Everyday I wish for soft, smooth, clear skin. It’s a wish that will take a while to come true. It’s my only wish really. Acne shouldn’t make you feel less of a person. I have had acne ever since I was ten years old. Yes, I did get bullied in middle school and yes I took it kinda harsh. Who wouldn’t, theres tons of red dots on your face. The face is the first thing a person looks at.

Overtime I learned how to deal with it. Not everyone is perfect. Everyone has a flaw. So don’t feel like you have to hide yourself from the world just because you have something on your face. EMBRACE THAT SHIT. Heck use makeup like I do. Yeah, it covers up those spots but I honestly feel more confident than ever. Its also a fun thing to do. You’re like Picasso painting on your face.  Every morning I wakeup, shower and get started on my makeup. I have the same routine every morning. This is what it looks like…

First I grab my Kiehls Powerful Wrinkle Reducing Eye Cream. I don’t have wrinkles, I’m only 18 and am not planning on getting any anytime soon. Thats why I’m starting right now. The younger you start taking care of your skin the more you’ll thank yourself when you’re older. My under eyes really lack moisture so by using this cream it helps a ton. Plus moisturized under eyes makes you look a lot more plump, refreshed and healthy.

Step 1

Second I apply a dime size amount of BECCA Ever Matte Poreless Priming Perfector to my entire face and make sure its blended out evenly. I leave the house at around 10 and don’t come home until 8 so I really need my foundation to stick to my face and not vanish. BECCA really does the job especially since my face is oily so its easier for my makeup to slip off.

Using my new favorite drugstore foundation by LOREAL called Infallible, I apply a generous amount on the back of my hand to help the foundation warm up so I get a smoother application. Using my Real Techniques Sponge I put a thin layer of foundation on and pretend that it’s my “primer”. Just as if you were painting your wall, you start with a layer, let it dry and paint over it again. Well, thats what I do with my foundation, giving time to dry in between coats. I try to make sure that all of my scars are covered while not making myself look to cakey.

Step 2

To brighten up my eyes I take NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer and apply the lightest shade to my under eyes and blend it in using my Real Techniques sponge. This concealer is a little pricy but let me tell you. This bad boy stays in place and does not crease! Using a lighter shade under your eyes really makes your eyes pop and prevents your face from looking one toned and dull.

After all that is finished I of course need to lock all that good stuff in. I use my ALL TIME FAVORITE Translucent Loose Setting Powder by Laura Mercier to set my makeup and give me a little bit more of that flawless look. The best thing to use to apply is the Velour Powder Puff. In my opinion it really, really sets your makeup and makes it look ten times better. This powder really does its job and keeps my makeup looking fresh throughout the day.

Highlighter is so popular right now and to be honest I’ve been kinda digging it. I don’t go crazy with it and highlight my whole entire face. I use a stifle brush by mac and take my current favorite highlighter by BECCA in Opal and stifle a light amount on my face. I focus on the cheek bones to give me that “vava voom” look when the sun hits my face. I then add a little amount down the bridge of my nose and on my brow bone. By doing this I feel like it really highlights your face and draws people straight to your eyes. So make sure your eye makeup is looking bomb.

Going onto the eyes. I usually don’t fill in my brows but if I’m feeling browsy I take MAC eye pencil and fill in just a tad bit to give me some fullness in my brows. Another trick I do to make me look a little more awake is making a illusion that my eyes are bigger. How do you do that? Taking your liquid eyeliner, I use Stila Stay All Day Liner draw a thin line on your top lash line starting from the outer corner working your way into your inner corner while making the line thinner as you go. This will also give you the appearance of having fuller lashes. Speaking of lashes you can’t forget about that mascara. My new true love goes out to LOREAL Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara. This is a magic stick for my lashes I tell you. It separates my lashes and gives me so much volume. I love to layer my mascara to make them appear fuller but sometimes it can look too clumpy with other mascaras. But this isn’t the case with little miss Carbon Black. Lashes just look stunning.
